Highly and hilariously illustrated, three stories of the antics and adventures that kids can get up to in the 15 minutes that is “Little Lunch”!
At Little Lunch Tamara Noodle hogged the monkey bars, we all fought over what kind of sandwich Manny was eating and Battie became SUPER BATMAN GUY. What else can happen in fifteen minutes?
Danny Katz’s Little Lunch series brings to print the quirky, crazy adventures Aussie school kids have on a daily basis, in a beautifully illustrated book that fits right in your uniform pocket… The Little Lunch series provides you with stories that are filled with hilarious situations and teach great lessons on resilience, hard work and friendship along the way.

Highly recommended. The fourth I have read in the wonderful series of books by Danny Katz and Mitch Vane first published to high acclaim in 2003 is just as funny and involving as the others, The school gate, The bubblers and The slide. Set in a school playground at recess time, the fifteen minutes of respite from the classroom, the stories are full of drama, adventure and friendship.
The Little Lunch books are a wickedly sparkling series for children (and their adults) to fall into with hilarity and glee. Cleverly chaotic words and messy, inky images with line-drawings all intermingle in the most perfect, unexpected and disgusting ways.Highly recommended (except for the squeamish)
Kids Book Review
I liked the little lunch stories because they’re always silly, funny, and they don’t try to teach you a lesson… or do they? These stories are really short, like recess, and easy to read… I’d recommend this book to kids who like a joke, a little bit of grossness, and the ins-and-outs of playground equipment. Oh, and there’s lots of awesome stuff at the back of the book like jokes, games, and instructions on how to do tricks on the monkey bars!
