A breakout book from Crichton award-winning author/illustrator Sara Acton, with every-kid appeal and DINOSAURS.

Sally and Max love dinosaurs. They can’t wait to see them at the museum, but today the dinosaur exhibition is closed. Where will the dinosaurs go on their day off?

A whimsical story with humour and heart from author and award-winning illustrator Sara Acton.

Sara Acton is the Crichton Award-Winning Author/Illustrator of Ben & Duck. She grew up in The Cotswolds, England, and trained to be an art teacher in London. After teaching in London and later in New Zealand, she moved with her family to Australia.

Dinosaur Day Out also teaches the children that even though something might go wrong, or things don’t go your way, there is often a silver lining. A good lesson for everybody. This is an enjoyable book for young children, especially those who, more often than not, know more about dinosaurs than their parents.

Glam Adelaide

A gorgeous addition to the home or school library for dinosaur lovers of all ages.

Children's Books Daily

The little comical elements in the illustrative details give the text even more irony and humour. And Acton’s softly textured paintings and simple colour palette ensure a gentle and playful feel as opposed to some of those slightly scary dinosaur facts that Dad apprises.

Boomerang Books

A lovely new picture book with a high-quality hard cover production and friendly illustrations that use a gentle colour palette of pale greens and blues.

Kids' Book Review

Dinosaur Day Out is both an imaginative and informative picture book just right for sharing with pre-schoolers and junior primary students.
