Creators

John Hornor Jacobs has worked in advertising for the last fifteen years, played in bands, and pursued art in various forms. He is also, in his copious spare time, a novelist. His first novel, Southern Gods, was nominated for an Edgar. The Twelve-Fingered Boy (Carolrhoda Lab, 2013), first a the trilogy of the same name, was praised by Book/isl in a starred review as "an expertly spiced stew of attitude, humor, horror, and grief." It was his first work for young adults and won the Moonbeam Children's Book Gold Medal Award. The Shibboleth, the second book in trilogy, was published in spring of 2014.
