John Hornor Jacobs has worked in advertising for the last fifteen years, played in bands, and pursued art in various forms. He is also, in his copious spare time, a novelist. His first novel, Southern Gods, was nominated for an Edgar. The Twelve-Fingered Boy (Carolrhoda Lab, 2013), first a the trilogy of the same name, was praised by Booklist in a starred review as "an expertly spiced stew of attitude, humor, horror, and grief."
