Joyce Dunbar
Joyce Dunbar was brought up in an industrial steel town in the north of England, one of four children. She spent several years teaching, mostly literature to adults. When Joyce was thirty-five, she realized that having always wanted to be a writer, she didn’t have to wait for permission — she just had to do it! Amazingly, her first book was immediately accepted and she has now published seventy books since. Some of her books include, “Mundo and the Weather-Child”, a novel short listed for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Award, “Shoe baby” (illustrated by her daughter Polly) and the Panda and Gander series.
