A Wounded Name
Binding: Hardcover
Age 12+
General Fiction
Vividly reimagines Hamlet into a great contemporary dark YA context. Gorgeous prose.
A Wounded Name is a reimagining of the world and story of Hamlet-all from Opehlia's perspective and set in a darkly anachronistic American boarding school (trust me, it works well). Tessa Gratton (author of Blood Magic and The Songs of New Asgard series) has already read it and wrote, "Madness, passion, gorgeous word-play, and the inexorable spiral into tragedy: A Wounded Name embodies everything I love from Hamlet"

Dot Hutchison has worked in retail, taught at a Boy Scout camp, and fought in human combat chessboards, but she's most grateful that she can finally call writing work. When not immersed in the worlds-between-pages, she can frequently be found dancing around like an idiot, tracing stories in the stars, or waiting for storms to roll in from the ocean. She currently lives in Florida. A Wounded Name is her debut novel. Visit her on line at ww.dothutchison.com.
