“Mutual attachment is clearly expressed in gestures, expressions, eye contact. . . . Would that all sib relationships were so harmonious.” — Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

Whether her problems are big or small, Annie knows she can count on her big brother, Simon, to help her solve them. When Simon starts to sneeze, Annie finally sees her chance to take on the helper role as only she can—with chatty zeal and haphazard determination.

Creators

Catharine O'Neill is the illustrator of many books for children. Originally from Toronto, she now lives in upstate New York with her family and a small red dog named Hazel. The inspiration for Annie and Simon, she says, "came from my daughter and her two quite-a-bit-older half brothers, who were, mostly, very patient. And, of course, from Hazel!"

Reviews

Beautifully illustrated by the author in watercolour, the characters shine.
