Creators

Katherine Ayres is the author of "A Long Way" and "Matthew's Truck". She worked as a teacher and later, school principal, but now teaches creative writing at Chatham University, where she also coordinates the Masters of Arts in Children s and Adolescent Writing.

Nadine Bernard Westcott has illustrated more than one hundred books for children. She also designs a popular line of greeting cards featuring her artwork.
