Vinni Versus Bluebottle

Vinni loves swimming at the beach with his faithful dog, Cracker. But sometimes when something feels so good and so right, it can be almost too perfect. Just when Vinni think’s he’s having the perfect summer day, he gets stung by his nemesis, the world’s biggest, scariest, most evil bluebottle.
This is no normal sting. Vinni finds himself underwater and shrunk to the size of his fist. But Vinni is determined to get back to land. He dons some seashell armour and, with the help of his new sea-creature friends, finds a way to outwit Bluebottle.

Creators
Gerry Bobsien lives in Newcastle Australia with her family. She is an artist, blacksmith and curator and guest lectures in public art at the Newcastle Art School and the University of Newcastle, NSW. Gerry is a post-graduate student in the faculty of Education and Art at The University of Newcastle. She finds the time to surf most mornings.
Shane Westerhagen is an illustrator and fine artist who lives in Melbourne, Australia. His work is regularly exhibited. Vinni Versus Bluebottle, which he created in collaboration with Gerry Bobsien, is his first book.
