These are supposed to protect the inhabitants from the Globes, bizarre creatures of the night. But, even after Fox appears to fall victim to a nighttime attack, the Little Prince quickly figures out that the Globes are harmless-it's the seller of the streetlights, Laudion, who is causing the problem by playing up the fear of the people ... but to what end? Can the Little Prince save Fox from Laudion's clutches? And what do the Globes themselves really want?
