Henry Coles

Henry grew up in a small village near Bradford, surrounded by sheep and hills. He always wanted to write, but instead veered into programming computers, until he turned his attention to writing in 2015.

Henry has been one of the Scottish Book Trust’s “New Writers”, a SCWBI “Undiscovered Voices” winner, and has been shortlisted and longlisted for prizes including The Times/Chickenhouse Prize and The Bath Children’s Novel award.

He lives in Edinburgh with his partner, children and accidental collection of vintage lathes. Traitor’s Moon is his debut novel.
