Sally Barton

Sally Barton fell in love with stories when she borrowed her very first library book as a child. Today, she creates fictional worlds for both children and adults and shares her love of literacy as a tutor for kids with learning differences. After working in the police force, in public libraries, and studying for a Legal Studies degree, she found her true calling: making up stories. She loves teaching and travelling, but writing remains her first love. Sally won the 2022 Writers Unleashed Picture Book Competition for Goodnight Sheep. She is also the creator of the Something Terrible series. The series’ debut book, Tim Tie-Your-Shoelaces, was shortlisted in the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Awards.
