School Library Journal
Dinosaur fans of all ages will love this informative book written in a graphic novel format. While graphic novels have gained popularity among middle-grade reluctant readers, this book is written at a late second-grade or early third-grade reading level, except for the disciplinary vocabulary words. The story of this dinosaur from the last era of the dinosaurs is full of fun and interesting facts. For example, dinosaurs with horns originated in Asia but migrated. In fact, the fossils of the dinosaur in question were discovered in the United States. The author organizes the subject matter into three chapters. Chapter one provides general information about the dinosaur… The illustrations are colorful and depict fierce-looking dinosaurs in their habitats. With a table of contents, a glossary, an index, and a list of suggestions for further reading, this book makes a nice instructional tool for teaching nonfiction book features to children in the early elementary grades.
