Philip Ardagh is a prolific writer who has been published in over 40 languages around the world. His titles include Bunnies on the Bus and Bunnies in a Boat, illustrated by Ben Mantle, the Eddie Dickens trilogy, High in the Clouds, co-written with Sir Paul McCartney, and Stinking Rich and Just Plain Stinky, which won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. He has also collaborated with illustrator Elissa Elwick on the Little Adventurers trilogy of picture books and You Can't Count on Dinosaurs. He stands six feet seven inches tall with a most impressive beard, and lives with his wife and son in the medieval town of Battle, site of one of the most famous battles in English history. This is a really fun book that my daughter loved reading with me! The story is engaging and the illustrations are colourful, vibrant, and my daughter loved picking out different animals and objects on each page. It’s very visually engaging and that has already made it a firm favourite in our household!

I loved the anarchy of the bunnies’ behaviour in this book. The story is really entertaining, and the pictures will reward repeated investigation by small children as they spot something else to comment on each time. I really like that the pages vary in format as well, with some whole page spread and even turning the book to emphasize the height of the rocket. Because of the very full illustrations, it works really well as a book to share with an individual or a small group, although the story is great to read aloud to a class size group.

Another bunny adventure and this time they are going to space! My child loved it as much as the others, finding it funny and really enjoying looking at the details in the illustrations on each page.

We really enjoyed this space story. It’s super fun and the bunnies caused absolute chaos in the rocket and on their moon walk! The illustrations are very detailed and there is so much to spot on even page. We laughed at the moon rock shop on the moon! There is also an exciting twist at the end of the story!
