One Careless Night Wins Wilderness Society Environmental Award

One Careless Night by Christina Booth has won the picture fiction category at The Wilderness Society's Environment Award for Children's Literature.

The awards were held over Facebook live, with the judges; TV star and children’s author Rove McManus, science communicator Dr Jen Martin and award-winning author David Lawrence, ultimately choosing Once Careless Night as the well deserving winner.

The Wilderness Society’s annual Environment Award for Children’s Literature is designed to encourage children to take an interest in nature and to feel a sense of responsibility for the places we love and unique wildlife. It has been running since 1984 and is announced during Nature Book Week. Learn more about the awards and see the other winners here.
