The Good Son Shortlisted in the NSW Premier’s History Awards

The shortlists for the NSW Premier’s History Awards have been announced, with The Good Son: A Story from the First World War Told in Miniature by Pierre-Jacques Ober, Jules Ober, and Felicity Coonan shortlisted in the Young People’s History Prize category.

In their comments, the judges wrote: “every scene is thoughtfully framed and illuminated, with variation between panorama and close-up. The words are few because few are needed.”

The Good Son is one of three books shortlisted for the Young People’s Prize in this year’s awards. The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, September 4th. Learn more and see the full shortlists here.
