Snakehead, Apache and The Knife of Never Letting Go shortlisted for the Booktrust Teenage Prize

The 2008 Booktrust Shortlist (UK) has been announced and Walker has three (out of a total of SIX) titles shortlisted - Apache, Snakehead and The Knife of Never Letting Go.

The Booktrust Teenage Prize was launched in 2003 to recognise and celebrate contemporary writing for teenagers and is recognised as the UK’s biggest teenage book prize.

Booktrust is a national charity that encourages people of all ages and cultures to develop a love of reading. They administer the prize with the support of writers, publishers, teachers, parents and libraries.

Previous winners include MArcus Sedgwick for My Swordhand is Singing (2007) Mark Haddon for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2003) and Anthony McGowan for Henry Tumour (2006)

The winner will be announced on November 18th, in London.
