Lucinda Belinda Melinda McCool

By Jeanne Willis
Illustrated by Tony Ross

From the legendary Jeanne Willis and Tony Ross comes this modern fable for the image-obsessed.

The most beautiful girl in the whole of the school is Lucinda Belinda Melinda McCool – but Lucinda Belinda felt it was her duty to guide all her friends in the subject of beauty. Lucinda becomes the scourge of family and friends, criticising big bottoms and moustaches (especially her grandma's) until everyone avoids her. So when Lucinda meets a monster in the forest, she decides it's her mission to make-over this scary creature. Unfortunately changing its outside does not change what's inside – as Lucinda Belinda discovers!

  • A modern fable that will make every image-obsessed Lucinda-a-like think twice!
  • Sunday Times children's book of the week
  • One of Britain's best-loved children's illustrators, Tony Ross illustrates David Walliams bestselling picture books and young fiction, and is also famous for his Little Princess and Horrid Henry books
