Laura befriends a little lamb, Lollylegs, and hopes to keep him for ever.

Laura’s dad brings a lamb home to give away at the school fete. In the meantime, Laura takes care of the lamb and calls him Lollylegs. About the author

Pamela Freeman is an award-winning children’s author who has also worked as a freelance business and technical writer in many areas, including public relations and television. Pamela’s fantastic work ranges from picture books to young adult novels and she is best known for her Floramide series of fantasy novels which include The Willow Tree's Daughter, Windrider and The Centre of Magic. The Castings Trilogy is Pamela’s highly successful fantasy series for adults published by Hachette Australia. In addition to this, she teaches creative writing to adults at the Sydney Writers’ Centre. Victor’s Challenge won the 2009 Aurealis Award for Best Children’s Short Fiction/Illustrated Work/Picture Book and was a Notable Book in the Younger Readers Category, Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards, 2010. About the illustrator

Rhian Nest James has been working as a freelance illustrator for many years after graduating from Exeter College of Art with an Honours Degree in Illustration. She has produced illustrations for a wide variety of publishers and organisations but her speciality is children’s books, having illustrated over 60 children’s books and contributed illustrations to many more. Rhian moved to Sydney from her native Wales in 2002 and she continues to illustrate for others and work on her own projects. She is the illustrator of the best-selling Samurai Kids series (written by Sandy Fussell) and has recently illustrated the award-winning fiction title Toppling written by Sally Murphy.
