Illustrated by Charles Fuge

A Little Wombat story about sharing, new friends, and of course, Easter eggs.

Little Wombat is busy collecting eggs on his Easter hunt when he sees Rabbit hop by wearing a special Easter Bunny costume. It’s such a good costume that the tail and nose won’t come even off – but wait, is that really Rabbit? Or is it his new friend, Bilby? Perfect for an Australian Easter storytime, this book is about new friends, new experiences and new ways to celebrate Easter.

  • Perfect for teaching young ones about sharing, making friends, and appreciating your own talents.
  • Charles Fuge's adorable illustrations are hugely comforting and his simple, charming story is an ideal read-aloud.

About the author

Charles Fuge (Charlie to his friends) was brought up in Bath where a fanatical interest in wildlife translated into the drawing of animals. He won the Macmillan Prize in 1988 for Bush Vark’s First Day Out, which won the Mother Goose Award the following year. And a career in children’s book illustration began. He has since illustrated a raft of picture books including Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball which was runner-up for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2001. Since then Charles has illustrated many books, a number of which he has also written. His Little Wombat series has garnered international recognition for its warm and humorous depiction of an iconic marsupial.
