  • 'Encourages children to think, feel and imagine as they learn.' - Burnley Express
  • 'In this affectionate tale, a grandfather introduces his granddaughter to the scarlet runner bean and the pleasures of gardening . . . The natural, easy pace of the text will invite youngsters to linger, and the information is dependable . . . A (green) thumbs-up.' - Publishers Weekly, starred review
