About the author

Matthew Johnstone is an author, illustrator and photographer. After working for fifteen years in the advertising industries around the world, Matthew began to create books. His illustrated titles I Had a Black Dog and Living With a Black Dog have become staples on many bookshelves and are published in numerous languages. From the Author: When I was a kid I used to make the ‘Fart Machine’ in my father’s workshop. Friends and I would delight in letting rip on the bus, at school and at the movies. It was one of the best toys I had as a kid. Hours of snickering and merriment were unleashed from a piece of wire, two rubber bands and washer. I made one for my two little girls and they loved it, so I thought why not turn it into a book. I think in this day and age we need more laughs.
