Going for Broke

By Meg McKinlay

A story about a boy going for broke to prove he can do something amazing – even if it means breaking more than just a world record in the process!

Nathan Foley is desperate for greatness. Record-breaking greatness. Planning? Who needs it? Research? What’s that? Nathan’s on a path to glory. What could go wrong?

  • Short, fast-paced novels, laced with a good dose of humour and which make few demands on the reader.
  • Aiming at 8-14 year old age group – especially those who haven’t yet been “struck” by the reading bug. Similar readership to Penguin’s “Aussie Chomp” series, but with a more graphic and funky approach, to try to appeal to a wider audience.
  • Design includes funky chapter heads, wide leading, generous type and plenty of white space.
