Flame Stands Waiting

By Corinne Fenton
Illustrated by Sebastian Ciaffaglione

A story for every child who has dared to dream...

Flame is a beautiful, golden carousel horse with a sad heart. Unlike the other horses, who are designed to move up and down, Flame was built to stand still. The children choose to ride on the turning, dancing horses and Flame is left waiting. Until one day, a little girl who has always dreamed of riding the beautiful horses comes to ride the carousel...

  • The perfect book to share - grandmothers will love the book and the history that it evokes, and children will love the dream of the carousel horse coming alive.
  • The author has combined meticulous research with a moving story about the power of dreams.
  • With Sebastian Ciaffaglione's detailed illustrations, this is a book that children will treasure and beg to read again and again.
