Dr Xargle's Book of Earthlets

By Jeanne Willis
Illustrated by Tony Ross

A best-selling picture book showing an alien's view of Earth babies from this award-winning team.

"Good morning, class. Today we are going to learn about Earthlets." In this way Dr Xargle, our friendly alien teacher, begins to teach his class about humans and babies. This is a hysterically funny book, with a particularly wry look at the way we bring up babies: look out for the 'egg-mangle' - will you ever want to eat egg again?

  • Life sales of Dr Xargle's series are now topping 500,000 copies.
  • Their latest collaboration The Nanny Goat's Kid is shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010.
  • Dr. Xargle's Book of Earth Tiggers, the third title in this series, was highly commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and won the Sheffield Children's Book Award (7-12).
