By Elizabeth Pulford
Illustrated by Angus Gomes

A novel that blends, mystery, family life and the subconcious into an interesting story.

Zara is broken. She’s in a coma, trapped in the world of her subconscious. A world of painful memories, distant voices and dark secrets. Secrets she has to unlock. Her life depends on it.

  • “New Zealand author Pulford has written a compelling, many-layered story, which is enhanced by the graphic novel–style black-and-white illustrations by Gomes. The text and graphics cohere to tell a compelling story of grief, guilt, and recovery.” Booklist
  • “A bold and delightful approach to storytelling … A brilliant book.” Viewpoint
  • “One of the most exciting YA novels published in Australia [in 2012].” The Australian
