Be Gentle!

By Virginia Miller
Illustrated by Virginia Miller

Bartholomew the bear has lots to learn about playing nicely with his new pet in this charming picture book about toddlerhood.

When George gives Bartholomew a little black kitten, he tells him to be gentle with her. "Nah," says Bartholomew. He wants to play. But the kitten is very small and Bartholomew’s games are very boisterous. This lively story about playing nicely will be enjoyed by very young children.

  • Other titles in the bear series include, "On Your Potty!: A Story About Toilet Training", "Eat Your Dinner!: A Story About Table Manners" and "Get Into Bed! A Story About Going to Sleep".
  • A perfect book for teaching young children about the responsibilities of owning a pet.
