About the author

Lewis Carroll's most famous works are "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (published in 1865) and the sequel "Alice Through the Looking-Glass", which contained the nonsense poem classic "The Jabberwocky" (published in 1872). He died on 14 July, 1898.

About the illustrator

Helen Oxenbury's numerous books for children include the Smarties Book Prize-winning "Farmer Duck" by Martin Waddell; "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael Rosen"; as well as her classic board books for babies.
