Product Manager

Walker Books Australia is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident and motivated person, with a clear understanding and interest in product management, for the role of part time Product Manager 4 days per week. This role will work within the Walker Books Product team, who guide our publications through metadata, scheduling, warehousing and book production processes. And support the Sales and Marketing teams.

The Product Manager role would suit an individual who enjoys helping others, has a keen eye for detail, and has an interest in supply chain and logistics. The perfect candidate would have a passion for books and an interest in learning about the full scope of the publishing process.

Role commences 31 January 2022.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing and maintaining the integrity of all data relating to Walker Books Australia Agency Titles
• Maintaining Shipping information across various platforms
• Publication Schedule Management - pricing, scheduling and meta data
• Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; including warehouse, freight forwarders

Desired skills and experience:

• Able to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and planning skills
• Proficiency with Excel
• Knowledge of Biblio and Bookmaster systems is an advantage
• International Shipping, Logistics and Supply Chain experience highly desirable
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Service-oriented mind-set

To be considered for the position you should have experience in a similar role in sales or a product role in publishing or bookselling. A passion for the publishing industry is also a must.
