Sue Whiting
Sue Whiting was born in Sydney and lived in Carlton and later Como West. After completing her education, Sue became a primary school teacher and it was this that led to her passion for children's literature. Although Sue wanted to write, it was not until her children were both in school that she had the time and confidence to take a risk. Luckily she did, because now Sue is a successful children's book author who has written over 30 books including picture books, non-fiction, chapter books and novels. Sue's first book for Walker Books Australia is "The FireFighters" in 2008 and "A Swim in the Sea" will be published in 2009.
