NOT LIKE GEORGIE

By Scott Hatcher
Illustrated by H/Jackson, M Potter

There s only one thing better than having a good friend, and that s having a best friend -- just like Georgie.

A boy is having a birthday party but everyone he knows is apparently too busy to come. They all have excuses as to why they won t be there and it looks as though he will be spending his birthday alone! But it s alright because Georgie, his best friend, will be there -- and together, they will have more fun at his party than with anyone else. As it turns out, one good friend is all you really need.

  • Emphasises the value of close and genuine friendships for kids who might have difficulty making lots of friends and acquaintances.
  • Told with humour and insight that both children and adults will appreciate.
