About the author
Adele Geras is one of Britain's most acclaimed writers for young people. She has had more than sixty children's books published since 1976. She writes for children of all ages, from picture books to teenage fiction.
About the illustrator
Emma Chichester Clark studied at the Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art where she was taught by Quentin Blake. She won the Mother Goose Award in 1988 for her illustrations to "Listen to This" and "I Love You, Blue Kangaroo" was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1999.
