About the author
Eileen Browne worked as a school teacher and a youth worker before becoming an author and illustrator, with her first book being published in 1977. She believes that certain groups of people are not well represented in children s books, so she gives priority to multi-cultural and female characters. Eileen was born in Birmingham, but now lives in Wiltshire.
